In 2010 i was over joyed to see that thigh high/ over the knee boots in all our hot local South African stores, they were in fashion and hot as ever, and in 2011 they are still steaming. This makes me really happy as i am obsessed with my thigh highs and will be wearing them for many winters to come.
This is a trend that almost everyone can pull off, if they know how to wear it, and what to pick when purchasing a thigh high/over the knee boot. So here are a few pointers.
When purchasing thigh highs you can go for a flat boot or a gorgeous heel, make sure the fabric is NOT patterned leather or of a metallic/ bright colour. This can make the boots look less stylish and more pretty women. Rather go for a warm looking fabric in a high quality leather or suede material preferably in black, camel, tan or a dark brown.
Thigh high/ over the knee boots are great for making the transition from summer to autumn. Wear them with a bold printed or plain dress or skirt.
You can wear thigh highs/over the knee boots in winter over jeans with a chic blazer or leather jacket,
or wear them with a pair of sheer tights and a simple top with some awesome jewelery.
